Nathan Swiggett, LEED AP, Licensed GC
Nathan has always had a knack for construction, figuring out how things work together and how their function might be improved - even from his first job as a bicycle mechanic.
In 2003, he earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from UNC at Pembroke. While he remains a mountain and road bike enthusiast to this day, Nathan has dedicated the last fifteen years to perfecting the skills of successfully managing commercial construction and renovation projects. Nathan has been with McDonald York for over five years and finds the company’s commitment to excellence a great fit for his work ethic.
Nathan was a 2017 Sir Walter Raleigh Award recipient for his collaborative work in Historic Renovation. He is also a preferred Project Management contact for several life-science and biotech companies in RTP. He believes communication and pro-active problem solving are the keys to success in this industry and works with clients on a daily basis to ensure the project is on schedule and completed to client satisfaction.
Outside of work, he enjoys bike rides with his wife and two young children and more construction...they recently completed their second “fixer-upper” where they reside in Durham, NC. Nathan is also an advocate for improving public education, providing leadership on the PTA Board at his son’s school.
