Sheila was born and raised in Greenfield, Massachusetts, where her father held a construction supervisory position for 30 years. As a result, Sheila became very familiar with the construction business early in life. Sheila and her husband, Jack McDonald, were high school sweethearts and married after college. Sheila chose a distinguished career as a stay-at-home mother raising their three children, Michael, Colleen, and Shannon. After moving to North Carolina in 1993, Sheila worked in retail sales for 13 years. For the past ten years, she has served on the Board of Directors of McDonald York Building Company. She has also served on the board of the Rally for the Cure golf tournament, PTA boards, taught Sunday school and has volunteered for several charities. Sheila and Jack live in Cary, North Carolina, where she's very involved with their eight grandchildren, all of whom live in the Cary-Apex area.
