Alex Ray, LEED GA
Alex has 8 years of construction experience. Prior to that, he earned his degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Virginia Military Institute. While in school, he lettered in football all four years as an inside/outside linebacker and found it to be a truly remarkable experience being a college cadet and student athlete. He started with McDonald York in 2015 and has since then worked on many successful corporate projects. The most rewarding project for Alex was the 11th and 12th floor upfits at UnitedHealth Group. The project was a quick turnover for 50,000 SF that was supported by a fantastic project team and ended with a very satisfied customer. Alex's favorite part about being a superintendent is seeing a project from start to finish. To have the ability to take a shell building or an out of ground building from an empty space or lot and transform it into a business workplace that changes the lives of its employees is "pretty awesome" to Alex. When he's not on the jobsite Alex enjoys working out, spending time with family and friends, hunting, fishing, training his chocolate lab, watching football, and playing golf.
