Community involvement is an integral part of our culture. The lasting changes we make to the communities in which we live and work go beyond simply building new buildings or renovating an old structure. By giving of our time and talents we also build improvements on a personal level, bettering the lives of our neighbors through efforts large and small.
We give back to the communities in which we live and work through monetary gifts, in-kind donations, volunteer support, and pro bono work. Over the years, McDonald York's giving has been focused in the areas of community, education, youth, arts and health.
Employees volunteer generously with their time, performing hundreds of hours of community service. This includes serving meals to the homeless, teaching in elementary schools, building playgrounds, and cleaning parks and community areas.
The emphasis on giving back to the community is not lip service from McDonald York senior leaders. Employees at all levels volunteer and many executives serve as members of the board for a number of charitable causes.
